In Latin America, there is only one trained pastor per every 250,000 people.

Church Leadership Training

Over 85% of Latin American Pastors have no education at all.

The Bible teaches there are qualifications for leadership (I Timothy 3:1-13; II Timothy 2:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 6:1-6). The training of Biblical leaders is a constant responsibility of the local church. The nature of the ongoing task can be seen in the apostle Paul’s instruction to Timothy, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (II Timothy 2:2).

Since 2006, RLM has provided scholarships to eight individuals who have earned degrees from ESEPA seminary and Instituto Canción, both located in San José, Costa Rica.  We are thankful for these achievements, but we have learned many lessons. We are currently developing a process to develop leaders through theological and ministerial studies based in the local church. We plan to build a Bible Institute on the campus of Iglesia Radical to raise up leaders to serve locally and plant churches in other areas of Costa Rica and beyond.
